(Moscow, Idaho) – According to a recent Ipsos/Alliance Defending Freedom survey, 40% of employees said that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training materials are divisive to workplace culture. Nearly 1 in 4 respondents also said that they or someone they knew had been asked by their employer to affirm that they were complicit in systemic racism.
According to the same survey, 78% of all US large companies use DEI materials in their workplace, which likely explains the recent “great resignation” and “great regret” of job hoppers looking for greener pastures.
“If a workplace is focused on DEI initiatives, that means they’re not focusing on their core mission, and their DEI policies are likely creating a toxic, divisive workplace,” said Andrew Crapuchettes, CEO of RedBalloon. “Silicon Valley Bank operated successfully for nearly 4 decades, but then they began implementing DEI and ESG policies and lost their focus on their core services.”
“Companies on RedBalloon are winning the war for talent because they are focused on providing the best goods and services in the marketplace,” continued Crapuchettes. “And, these employers evaluate and reward their employees based on their merit and accomplishments, not on any other virtue-signaling criteria.”
