“The Labor Department said Wednesday that there were about 10.46 million job openings in November, down just slightly from the 10.51 million reported the previous month. Economists surveyed by Refinitiv expected openings to fall to 10 million.”



“The study was conducted by the moving truck rental company, U-Haul, and found that Texas, Florida, and the Carolinas were the preferred destinations for one-way moving trucks in 2022, with those states ranking as the top growth states on the annual U-Haul Growth Index.”



“Wages for employees who remained in the same job climbed 5.5% in November from the previous year, according to new data from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. That marks an increase from 3.7% in January 2022 and the highest increase since the bank began tracking wage data 25 years ago.”



“The company expects the move to lead to about $1.4 billion to $2.1 billion in charges, of which about $800 million to $1 billion will be recorded in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2023.”



“Pennsylvania, for instance, this week distributed $1.2 million for career and technical education centers with 33 applicants receiving money as part of a competitive grant program orchestrated by the state’s Department of Education in coordination with industry needs.”



“Hourly wages at US small businesses rose 4.95% year over year in December, according to the recently released Paychex | IHS Markit Small Business Employment Watch covering businesses with fewer than 50 workers. December’s growth rate was the lowest since March 2022.”

Please have more job openings in Chicago! Last time I checked the other day, there was only FOUR. How is that possible in a city with several million people? I keep waiting for more options, but there's still nothing. I need a full time job!
