“The company, ResumeBuilder.com, surveyed 1,000 hiring managers across the United States in November ‘to find out how many believe ‘reverse discrimination’ is really an issue affecting their workplace,’ the company said on November 7.”

“First, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) won re-election in a landslide victory on Tuesday. Then Disney’s corporate earnings disappointed Wall Street, sending its stock crashing to new lows. Now the entertainment giant is reportedly planning layoffs, a targeted hiring freeze, and travel limitation on its employees.”

“The culling would be the largest number of job cuts undertaken at any point in the history of the Seattle-based e-commerce giant, which is also feeling the effects of stiff economic headwinds that have hamstrung large tech firms.”

“In 2022, in the midst of a recession, record inflation, and a tumbling stock market, a corporate ideology known by the acronym ESG emerged from obscurity to become a headline topic. It has been called everything from a risk-management tool and a movement for a cleaner, more just world, to a ‘con,’ a ‘fraud,’ and even—in an Elon Musk tweet—’the devil incarnate.’”

“Survey results also showed that diversity within the boardrooms of insurance companies improved slightly. Among the insurance companies that reported to the CDI, women still account for less than a quarter of insurance company boards. In 2020 and 2021, women’s representation in insurance boardrooms showed some improvement, with 22.8% and 23.8%, respectively. And yet, 17% of insurance company boards across both years still reported zero gender diversity, according to the CDI.”

“Many employees today bemoan the woke workplace – the exaltation of diversity over merit, the struggle sessions disguised as ‘trainings,’ the ostentatious display of ‘preferred pronouns,’ the mandated injections of an experimental vaccine. It seems employees are being paid for ideological compliance, rather than for their labor.”
